Data Protection, Data Processing Rules Capa Grand Prize 2026
The Data Controller is the Robert Capa Kortárs Fotográfiai Központ Nonprofit Kft. (1065 Budapest, Nagymező street 8., Hungary).
The Data Subject is any natural person who applies for the Capa Grand Prize announced by the Data Controller, provides their personal data together with the application, and thereby participates in the call.
The personal data provided by the Data Subject include: surname, given name, place and date of birth, permanent address, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and citizenship.
The purpose of data processing is the identification of applicants in accordance with the call for applications for the Capa Grand Prize, carrying out the evaluation and jurying process of the applications, identifying the authors during the use of the submitted images, and ensuring the related rights of use.
The legal basis for data processing, in line with its purpose, is the consent of the Data Subject. The provision of data by the Data Subject is voluntary.
Only private individuals and creative groups who meet the conditions specified in the call for applications may participate in the competition. The applicant bears full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the provided data. The Data Controller assumes no liability for any consequences arising from incorrect or erroneous data provided by the participant.
The Data Processor processes the submitted applications and the related data itself in the course of the jurying process in accordance with the call, and carries out the technical administration of the application procedure on its own; therefore, the personal data of the Data Subject are not transferred to any data processor.
By accepting the Consent Declaration, the Data Subject expressly consents to the
processing of their personal data by the Data Controller in accordance with these data protection rules.
The Data Controller is obliged to ensure that no third party may gain access to the data other than the Data Controller, unless otherwise required by law or consented to by the Data Subject.
The data processing begins at the time when the Data Subject provides the Consent Declaration and lasts for the duration of the purpose of data processing, namely until the completion of the application procedure and the announcement of the results. Upon termination of the purpose of data processing, or upon the request of the Data Subject, the personal data shall be deleted.
The Data Subject is entitled to request information about the processing of their personal data, as well as to request the rectification or deletion of their personal data.
The Data Controller declares that, during data processing, personal data are handled in compliance with the provisions of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, as well as with the data protection policy of the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center Nonprofit Ltd.
